Helloi LLC, 7533 S Center View Ct, West Jordan, Utah 84084 info@helloi.ai, (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy of our users. This Privacy Statement elucidates our practices concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information through our professional growth website, www.helloi.ai.

Introduction

We are a platform for people to store their knowledge, connect, find and be found for business opportunities. Our privacy policy applies to any of our registered User (“member”). Our Members share their professional identities, knowledge, learnings, notes, engage with their network, exchange knowledge and professional insights, view relevant content, learn and develop skills, and find business and career opportunities. Content and data highlighted by the Members as “public” is viewable to non-members (“Visitors”) as some of our Services are viewable by non-members.

This Privacy Policy applies to Helloi.ai and all the related sites and apps. For California residents, additional disclosures required by California law may be found in our California Privacy Disclosure at the end of this document.

We can modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may close your account.

  1. Information We Collect:

We collect a variety of information to provide and improve our services:

  • Personal Information (“Personal Data” and “Resume”):
  • Name, Last Name
  • Contact Information: Email, Phone Number, City or area you are working from
  • Professional Information: Role (present and past), Company, City of Residence
  • Educational Background
  • Other information provided voluntarily by users, such as photo, experiences, learnings, notes, etc.
  • If you register for a premium or paid Service, you will need to provide payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information
  • It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile, thus making sensitive information public. Please do not share or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.
  • Documents (“Documents”):
  • Users may upload documents such as resumes, work samples, experiences, notes, ppt, learnings and other relevant files.
  • It is Users choice to provide as much or as little documentation as they want; however, profile information helps you to get more from our Services, including helping recruiters and business opportunities find you.
  1. How We Use Your Information:

We employ the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, personalize, and improve our services and AI models
  • To facilitate connections for collaboration, hiring, and networking
  • To enable third-party services connected with our Services
  • To comply with legal obligations
 
  1. Services:

Stay connected:

Our Services allow you to stay in touch and up to date with colleagues, partners, clients, and other professional contacts. To do so, you can “connect” with the professionals who you choose, and who also wish to “connect” with you. We use data about you (such as your profile, and all the data available on your profile) to help others find your profile, suggest connections for you and others (e.g. Members who share your contacts or job experiences) and enable you to invite others to become a Member and connect with you. 

Stay informed:

Our Services allow you to stay informed about news, events and ideas regarding professional topics you care about, and from professionals you respect. Our Services also allow you to improve your professional skills, or learn new ones. We use the data we have about you (e.g., data you provide, data we collect from your engagement with our Services and inferences we make from the data we have about you), to personalize our Services for you, such as by recommending learnings, or connections or coaches or mentors relevant for your career progression. We use your content, activity and other data, including your name and photo, to provide notices to your network and others.

Career:

Your profile and Digital Vitae can be found by those looking to hire (for a job or a specific task) or be hired by you. We will use your data to recommend jobs or mentees, show you and others relevant professional contacts (e.g., who work at a company, in an industry, function or location or have certain skills and connections). Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through our Services. We will use your data to create your Digital Vitae, both public version and version per each job description. It’s up to you to maintain all the data as updated as possible and as relevant as possible to have the best output from our Services.

Collaborate:

Our Services allow you to collaborate with colleagues, search for potential clients, customers, partners and others to do business with. Our Services allow you to communicate with other Members and schedule and prepare meetings with them.

Paid Services:

We sell paid Services that provide our customers and subscribers with customized functionality and tools (including messaging, comparing and activity alerts) as part of our talent, collaboration, hiring and sales solutions.

  1. Sharing of Information:

Public Sharing:

  • Users can choose not to share certain “documents” publicly. It’s your responsibility to verify on a regular based which “documents” are public and which are not on your Profile. 
  • Uploaded documents and information that you chose to be public, may be visible to other users and third parties
  • You understand that your Personal Data and Resume can be see by other users of the platform, third parties and or employers, hiring managers, etc. If you do not want your Personal Data and Resume to be available to those, do not add those information and documents on the platform.
  • We will contact you through email, mobile phone, notices posted on our websites or apps, messages to your LinkedIn inbox, and other ways through our Services, including text messages and push notifications

 

Third-Party Sharing:

  • We may share information with third-party service providers to facilitate the provision and improvement of our services.

 

Service use:

  • We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our sites, app and platform technology, such as when you view or click on content (e.g., learning video) or ads (on or off our sites and apps), perform a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, share articles or apply for jobs. We use log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use.
  • We collect data through cookies and similar technologies
  • We are improving our Services, which means we get new data and create new ways to use data, including AI models
  • We use data, including public feedback, to conduct research and development for our Services in order to provide you and others with a better, more intuitive and personalized experience, drive membership growth and engagement on our Services, and help connect professionals to each other and to economic opportunity
  • We seek to create economic opportunity for Members of the global workforce and to help them be more productive and successful. We use the personal data available to us to research social, economic and workplace trends, such as jobs availability and skills needed for these jobs and policies that help bridge the gap in various industries and geographic areas. In some cases, we work with trusted third parties to perform this research, under controls that are designed to protect your privacy.
  • We use data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and for Service issues (e.g., bugs).
  • We use data to generate insights that do not identify you
  • We may use service providers to help us with our Services
  • We may share your data when our business is sold to others, but it must continue to be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy
 
  1. Your Choices:
  • Users have the right to include any or all their Personal Information in the Profile, chose which information to add or delete or modify
  • Users have the right to manage their privacy settings and determine what document is shared publicly and which document they want to delete or modify
  • Users can request the deletion of their account and associated information.
 
  1. Security:

We implement robust security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of personal information. We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

  1. Legal Basis:

The legal basis for processing personal information is the user’s consent and the necessity for the performance of a contract.

Users have rights under CCPA, including but not limited to the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information or delete their full account.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Statement. Users will be notified of significant changes.

California Consumer Privacy Act

Notice for California Consumers

Last revised December 12, 2022

This notice describes the rights of Californians under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, which was amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (together, “CCPA”). The CCPA requires businesses like us to provide certain information to California consumers. We fully describe our practices to all our members and visitors in our Privacy Policy, but use this separate notice to ensure that we meet the CCPA’s requirements. This notice contains the following four parts:

  • You Can Opt Out of Our Sharing Your Personal Information. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information.
  • Your CCPA Rights
  • The CCPA Categories of Personal Information We Collect and the Sources
  • The CCPA Categories of Personal Information We Disclose for a “Business Purpose”
 
1.  You Can Opt Out of Our Sharing Your Personal Information. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information.

If you are a Helloi.ai member, click in you Profile, go under account and delete your account so to opt out of sharing any personal information. In addition to these controls, in the U.S. we will automatically opt you out of sharing if we receive a Global Privacy Control signal from you that reflects your choice to opt-out of sharing.

The CCPA requires us to disclose if we share your personal information. We may share your personal information, including information about your visits to Helloi.ai, with our partners in order to market Helloi’s services to you on other platforms. If you are a member, we may also share your personal information with Microsoft to personalize the ads you see when you use Microsoft services. As we provide services for you to find your next role, job or improve you current career situation, please be aware that other members can see you Personal Information. If you are not willing to do so, is your responsibility to delete your account.

We do not sell your personal information.

2.  Your Rights Under the CCPA

The CCPA provides Californians with the following rights:

2.1 Requests for Information

Like all of our members, you (or your authorized agent) can request a copy of your personal information from your Profile page. Under the CCPA, you can also request that we disclose how we have collected, used, and disclosed your personal information over the past 12 months, including the categories of personal information we collected and our purposes for doing so; the categories of sources for that information; the categories of third parties with whom we shared it or disclosed it for a business purpose and our purposes for doing so. Companies that sell personal information (we do not) must make additional disclosures.

2.2 Your Right to Opt Out of Sales

We do not sell personal information, so we don’t have an opt out.

2.3 Your Right to Opt Out of Sharing

Under the CCPA, you can opt out of the sharing of your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. You can direct us not to share your personal information as described in Section 1.

2.4 Your Right to Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information

Under the CCPA, you can limit a business’s use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to certain purposes specified by law (e.g., providing you with services you request or preventing fraud, or for other purposes that don’t involve deriving your attributes). We only use sensitive personal information for such permitted purposes, so we don’t have an opt-out.

2.5 Your Right to Notification

Under the CCPA, a business like Helloi cannot collect new categories of personal information or use them for materially different purposes without first notifying you.

2.6 Nondiscrimination for Exercising Your CCPA Rights

The CCPA prohibits businesses from discriminating against you for exercising your rights under the law. Such discrimination may include denying services, charging different prices or rates for services, providing a different level or quality of services, or suggesting that you will receive a different level or quality of goods or services as a result of exercising your rights.

2.7 Your Right to Correct Inaccurate Personal Information

Like all of our members, you can edit much of your personal information through your Helloi account (such as your profile information). You can also request that we correct inaccurate personal information by sending an email at info@helloi.ai.

2.8 Your Right to Delete Personal Information

Like all of our members, you can request that we delete your personal information by closing your Helloi account, from your personal account, or by requesting that we delete specific information about you by sending an email to info@helloi.ai. We honor such requests unless an exception applies, such as when the information is necessary to complete the transaction or contract for which it was collected or when information is being used to detect, prevent, or investigate security incidents, comply with laws, identify and repair bugs, or ensure another consumer’s ability to exercise their free speech rights or other rights provided by law.

2.9 Helloi Annual CCPA Metrics

You can require a copy of our CCPA Annual Metrics to view metrics required by CCPA regulations for the past calendar year by sending an email to info@helloi.ai.

2.10 Statement Regarding Selling or Sharing the Personal Information of Consumers Under Age 16

CCPA regulations require us to state whether we have actual knowledge that we have sold or shared the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. As stated in our user agreement, Helloi services are not for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly provide services to anyone under the age of 18 nor do we have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 18 years of age.
